We’ll regain our freedom, rebuild & reset Ghana under John Mahama gov’t – Rashid Pelpou
The Wa Central Member of Parliament and also the Parliamentary Candidate of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress, Dr. Hassan Rashid Pelpou asserted that, the coming back of the next NDC government will serve as liberation for the people of Ghana who he alleged have been subjected to severe hardship and pain by the current NPP administration.
Addressing the euphoric umbrella family members who defied rains to grace the launching of the Wa Central NDC Campaign team for the 2024 general elections at the Wa Tendaaba pack, on September 14, 2024, he highlighted the significance of the campaign launch stressing that, it marks the beginning of the struggle of the NDC in the Wa Central Constituency to ensure that the NDC under the watch John Dramani Mahama returns to power and also for the party to retain the Wa Central parliamentary seat.
“We will regain our freedom, we will rebuild Ghana and reset Ghana under the leadership of His Excellencey John Dramani Mahama, this launching of our campaign is the beginning of the struggle of the Wa Central Constituency to make sure that the NDC wins power, that John Dramani Mahama wins power, that I become the Member Parliament for Wa Central”.
Dr. Rashid Pelpou adds that, the return of an NDC government will ensure that the youth and women that are struggling due to the neglect of the current government because they are affiliated to NDC are gainfully employed.
“Ensure also, that in the end, the young person who is suffering because he is neglected by this party will get a job to do, the women who are neglected because they are NDC will get a job to do. We will make sure the student who wants to enter the university for the first time will be able to do so with their fees paid, we will make ensure that the person who wants to do business will be trained with entrepreneurial skills and given money to go and do his own job” Pelpou added.
He says, the NDC will reset Ghana and make it becomes a better place while emphasisng that, the next government of the National Democratic Congress will bring back the dignity Ghana enjoys stressing that, corruption and nepotism will be a thing of the past.
“We will change Ghana, we will reset Ghana, we will make sure corruption, nepotism are gone, we will kill them and go free”.
Meanwhile, Upper West Regional Chairman of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress, Abdul Nasir Saani addressing the ‘Akatamansonians’ and lovers of the NDC re-echoed the need for Ghanaians to embrace and accept the change Ghanaians are yearning for, accenting that, the NDC will be the panacea for the numerous challenges Ghana is being faced with under the watch of the elephant family.
He assured women that, if the NDC is given the nod to rule the country again after the 2024 general elections, the party functionaries would also be given the opportunity to run the school feeding so that they can also take care of their wards.
Chairman Bunas, as he is affectionately called mentioned that, John Dramani Mahama will recruit the youth into the security sector and as well as train tailors, hair dressers, waivers and others engaged in other forms of artisanal and craftsmanship with the needed skills and equip them with the needed tools as a way of empowering them.
“Our women here the news I have for you is that you should all ensure the NDC come to power and we will collect the school feeding contracts and give it to you so that you can also work and take care of our children. The youth here, John Mahama said I should inform you that, if NDC comes to power, you will be recruited in to the police, fire, Immigration services, if NDC wins, we will train tailors and dress makers and enshrine them with the power to produce our school uniforms, we will not import clothes from China again, we will train waivers and other artisanal and craftsmanship men and women”.
Chairman Bunas further seized the opportunity, and appealed to the constituents in all the eleven (11) constituencies of the Upper West Region to vote massively for the National Democratic Congress to win power and reset Ghana for the well-being of the Ghanaian people.
Scores of party supporters and stalwarts and Financiers of the NDC thronged to the Tendaama Primary School’s pack amidst rain to lend their support to the incumbent NDC Member of Parliament who sat on the Wa Central Constituency seat for five (5) consecutive times.
Other NDC Members of Parliament thus Hon. Peter Lanchene MP for Wa West, Hon. Dr. Sabastian Sandaari, MP for the Daffiamah Bussie Issa Constituency and as well as the Member of Parliament for the Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency were present and all called on the good people of the Wa Central Constituency to retain the about 20 years serving Member of Parliament.
