UWR: NDC accuses NPP of vote buying, targeting first time voters, women

The National Democratic Congress in a presser issued by the Upper West Regional Communications Officer of the umbrella party, Issah Kantagyeri, accused the ruling New Patriotic Party of engaging in vote buying in the Upper West Region as a way of inducing voters ahead of December 7 polls.

According to the presser issued on 6th December 2024, Issah Kantagyeri noted that, intelligence gathered by members of the National Democratic Congress in the region showed that, first time voters and women are targeted by the NPP and as a result, each voter is to be given GH¢200.00 with 4piece of cloths and at least half of the voters of each polling station are targeted by the elephant party.

He furthered that, the NDC source reveals that, the NPP has given GH¢3million to each parliamentary candidate to be distributed among the first time voters and women.
