UWR: Alhaj Mahama Iddrisu Donates Food stuff to NDC ahead of December 7 polls
The Chairman of the National Council of Elders of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress, Alhaj Mahama Iddrisu has supported the umbrella party in the Upper West Region with 1,000 bags of rice, 1,000 boxes of ENAPA Mackerel and 1,000 gallons of cooking oil.
The donation was made to support the feeding of the NDC party’s elections officials so that they can be fed well to remain at the polling stations come December 2 and 7 during the general election, this is to ensure that the process goes on smoothly without any form of unearned advantage from their opponents.
Handing over the items to the NDC party in Wa on November 27, 2024, the, the NDC’s council of Elders Chairman noted that, the party is fully prepared to deliver resounding victory for John Dramani Mahama and all the NDC parliamentary candidates in the Upper West Region.
Alhaj Mahama Iddrisu further seized the opportunity and admonished party faithful against voting “skirt and blouse” urging Ghanaians to vote massively for the NDC to come back to power.
Meanwhile, the Uppper West Regional Chairman of the NDC, Abdul Nasir Saani, expressed his gratitude to the NDC’s party stalwart for the kind gesture and assured him that the leadership of the party will ensure that officials of the NDC partaking in the electoral exercise would be well feed.
He also expressed worry over the preaching of “skirt and blouse” voting in the region but was quick to add that, the party has been able to meet with the disgruntled party members who are threatening to vote for John Dramani Mahama but vote for a different party’s parliamentary candidate.
