We will complete projects started by the NPP except the National Cathedral – Asiedu Nketia
The National Chairman of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has indicated the next NDC’s government commitment of completing projects started by the NPP government and that of the NDC’s projects stressing that, every government uses the tax payers money to undertake projects hence such projects should not be allowed to waste away.
He says, the next John Mahama led NDC government will complete all the E-block school projects and other projects started by them and the NPP government.
“The E-block as for that one, whether you ask us or not, it is a commitment of H. E John Dramani Mahama to complete all the uncompleted projects that we left as NDC government and also look at completing all the very important projects that may have been started by the NPP and they have not been able to complete. We believe that it is our money that any government uses to start those projects, so whether they are started by us or they are started by another government if we leave them to rot, we are hurting the communities so when we come to power whatever projects they may have started apart from the National Cathedral project, all the other projects we will look at them and see to it is that we complete them”.
Chairman Nketia while interacting with the people of Walembele in the Sissala East Constituency on November 23, 2024 as part of his 2-day campaign tour of the Upper West Region, further noted that, the Wa-Walembele road will see a face lift adding that he has had the experience of traveling on it and would not need to be told, assuring the people that the road would be one of the important projects that the next NDC government needs to work on.
“I have already has the experience of traveling on your roads, even though nobody has told me, I know that the road is a very important project that we need to work on when we come back to power” Johnson Asiedu Nketia stressed.
He explained his style of campaigning at the communities instead of the capital towns of the various constituencies, accentuating that it is purposely for him to have insight as to what the plight of community members are and see how such problems can be addressed by the next NDC government.
The NDC National Chairman mentioned that, the NDC government connected several communities to the national grid before leaving power but as time goes on coupled with population growth, majority of those communities are experiencing low voltage due to the failure of the current administration to expand the power supply of those communities.
He assured the people of Sissala West that, such communities will get the needed electricity expansion and those without electricity would also be connected to the national grid.
He appealed to the people to vote massively for the NDC to come back to power come December 7 polls.
