The National Chairman of the largest opposition National Democratic Congress, Johnson Asiedu Nketia has admonished the incumbent Member of Parliament for the Nandom constituency Hon. Ambrose Dery to retire peacefully without using any tatics to forment trouble in the last days of his exist.

According to the NDC National Chairman,  Ambrose Dery is now a sunset and constituents should consider aligning with a rising sun instead, furthering that,  Ambrose Dery would still be part of the past by sitting at the opposition side in Parliament if still forces himself to be in Parliament after the December 7 polls.

“The position he occupied as a Minister for the Interior he tried to use it to serve part of the interest of the people, I am fully aware of the number of people he has recruited into the security services that is good we can reward him for that but, where we are, the stage of the battle where we are now, he was a minister under Nana Addo Dankwa Akuf-Addo, but Akuf-Addo has two weeks for his term to expire, he is already an expired President, so if your source of authority is from an expired President then it means that you have also lost your legitimacy” Nketia added.

Johnson Asiedu Nketia urges the people of Nandom to reward Ambrose Dery for the few good things he has done for the people of Nandom by giving him a chieftaincy title so that he can rest and hands over the baton to the NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate Dr. Richard Kuu-ire.

“If your time is up and you recognize that your time is up you can move to the next stage but your time may be up and if you don’t recognise that your time is up, you will still want to do certain tricks to maintain you in your seat, if you are not careful those underhand dealings will end up destroying you and any of your record you have. From his past as a Minister of Interior, he may want to use some force to win the elections but send him a clear message that if he tries it, it will destroy the little reputation he has, but he cannot win the elections so, my advise is that he should retire in peace and maintain the little respectability he has in Nandom constituency”.

The NDC chairman as part of his 2-day campaign tour of the Upper West Region urged constituents of the Nandom constituency to massively for the NDC to come to power and salvage Ghana from sinking further.

He appealed to the people of the Upper West Region to get the NDC back power to ensure that the country is rest back to its original state.

He explains that, the retail campaign (community based campaign) style he adopted will provide him the opportunity to have a first hand information of the needs of the community members so that the next NDC government would be able to work on the developmental challenges confronting the communities.
